Mr. Lawrence “Larry” Bradshaw joined NLCS in October 2009 and brings with him a wealth of experience in the not-for-profit senior living industry. He was Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President for Strategic Growth from 1987 – 2006 with Asbury Communities, a not-for-profit CCRC in Md. At Asbury, Mr. Bradshaw oversaw $300 million in expansion, re-invention and start-up projects related to senior residential, assisted living and health care. Additionally, he was responsible for the overall financial health and performance and an operating revenue budget of $150 million. Among his accomplishments over a 20-year time frame was increasing the liquidity position from approximately $4 million to more than $100 million. Before coming to NLCS, Mr. Bradshaw was a consultant and principal of Bradshaw Insights Group providing strategic planning, board development, financial consulting, debt financing and capital structure development, operational audits and analysis, modeling and projection development to senior living communities.
Mr. Bradshaw has always been active in LeadingAge, formerly known as the American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging (AAHSA), where he served as a commissioner with CCAC (now CARF), and as Chair of CCAC’s Financial Advisory Panel. In addition to his role with Asbury Communities and The Asbury Group, Mr. Bradshaw has made presentations at numerous national meetings, including LeadingAge, the National Investment Conference annual conventions, and the annual Ziegler Senior Living CFO Workshop.
Mr. Bradshaw has a B.S. in accounting from Emporia State University and with his strong interest in information technology, earned his M.B.A. in Technology Management from The University of Phoenix.
