Ethical Dilemmas Working with Older Adults

When healthcare professionals work with seniors, gray areas are constantly encountered. Join guest speaker Stephanie Goldstein, BSW, LBSW, for an interactive discussion on professional ethics, personal values and practical strategies for social workers and nurses related to senior issues.

Goldstein has worked as a social worker in health care for over 15 years. She has worked in various settings and capacities ranging from mental health to aging. Her goals have always been to inform and educate residents and families on options and promote self-determination. She currently serves as a Care Manager outside of Baltimore, Maryland.

After attending this course, participants will be able to identify two ethical dilemmas working with older adults, three areas of ethics that should be referenced for assistance in navigating ethical dilemmas, and discuss with other participants instances where each have experience in navigating ethical dilemmas.

This workshop is presented by Jenerations Health Education and is designed for social workers and case managers. Approved for 1 Ethics credit for SW through ASWB and pending approval for 1 Ethics credits for Case Managers through CCMC.
